Mark

Mark is two this year and is looking for an adoptive family. When Mark was born he remained in hospital for five weeks because of withdrawal from drugs and alcohol. He has features of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome and is quite small.

Mark has had problems with his chest and has been in hospital on three occasions with respiratory infections. His carer says that for the last six months he has been really well and this has helped him to settle into a good routine at his foster home. He sleeps through the night and has a healthy appetite, though he can be a little slow when he is eating.

Since he started to walk, Mark loves to explore, particularly if he can avoid the safety gate and escape upstairs! Cupboard doors and anything with knobs on are an endless source of fun.

He loves to play with anything noisy and quickly learns how to play with new toys. His carer says that his speech for his age is very good and he seems to learn a new word every day. Mark is a very affectionate child who is rewarding to care for.

Mark is meeting all his developmental milestones but needs an adoptive family who can cope with uncertainty about his future development. Could that be you?
