Adult services

Dave Entwistle Assistant Director, Adult Services (Personalisation and Assessment)
Dave is Lead Officer for developing the Personalisation Agenda. The adult social work division provides assessments and commissions services via social work staff, for a wide range of services to adults and their carers.
These include services for older people, adults with physical disabilities, adults with mental health problems and adults with learning difficulties. Teams are located in the community and in Salford Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Most social work staff work directly with Primary Care Trust (PCT) staff, in integrated teams.
The mental health service for younger adults is fully integrated with health and is managed by Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of the directorate.
The learning difficulty service is also fully integrated with the health service, managed by the directorate.
Older peoples' social work services and community based PCT services (for example, district nursing and some therapist services) have been reconfigured to deliver integrated services at a locality level which approximates to the eight neighbourhood areas.
