Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers

Salford is a forces friendly authority and is fully supportive of employees who are existing members of or wish to join as a Reservist or Cadet Force as an Adult Volunteer. The council recognises the valuable contribution that Reservists and Adult Volunteers make to the Armed Forces, their communities and the civilian workplace.

Armed Forces Covenant: Gold Award 2021

The council agreed in 2014 to introduce a policy which supports both Reservists and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers to support employees in their training, before, during and after mobilisation.

The Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association for the North West of England and the Isle of Man (NW RFCA) is the organisation which facilitates, supports and promotes the Reserve Forces of all three Armed Services and the three Cadet organisations in the region. Visit the NW RFCA website to find out more about a career in the Reservists or as a Cadet Force Adult Volunteer and search for the units operating in the city and beyond.
