Flood information packs

Information guides are now available for residents to help prepare for flooding. One is specifically for the Lower Broughton area and the other is general for flood risk areas in other parts of the city.

A key recommendation in the pack is that you create a personal plan, with your own emergency contacts list, key documents, and lists of medication and toiletries to take with you in case the worst happens and you have to be evacuated. Being prepared in advance can better protect you and your property which can save you heartache.

You should also sign up to warnings from the a free government service which sends you a direct message when flooding is expected. Flood warnings will give you time to prepare for flooding. You can sign up by going to the GOV.UK website or by calling Floodline on 0345 988 1188 or Typetalk on 0845 602 6340.

We want people who may need help to leave their home to register with us. Please complete our flood form.
