Information for the community

Our proposals would create schools that are about much more than activities in the classroom – schools that are at the heart of their community.

We propose to extend the use of school sites. This would make more efficient use of schools and provide better access to local services.

We have identified services that could share school facilities and grounds in the future.

We will update local communities on plans as they develop. There will also be the opportunity to submit comments during the planning application process.

A new statutory consultation took place 10 November - 17 December on the proposed closure of St George's RC High School, enlargement and relocation of St Ambrose Barlow RC High School at the Wardley site, rebuild of All Hallows RC High School at the ex Hope High School site and rebuild of St Patrick's RC High School at its existing site.
