Thursday night aquathlon series

Aquathlon swimming

For those looking for a bit of mid-week competition we run a series of aquathlons in conjunction with Manchester Triathlon Club. Dates for 2012 are yet to be confirmed.

These events consist of a 750 metre (375 metres for juniors) swim, which is made up of two laps around our swim course. Followed by a 5 kilometre run (2.5 kilometre for juniors), which is four laps of a course that follows the quayside towards the Lowry Theatre and back to the watersports centre.

Event programme:

  • 6.00pm - Registration opens
  • 6.30pm - Transition opens
  • 6.50pm - Race briefing in transition
  • 7.00pm - Start of race

All entrants must be pre-registered to swim with Salford Waterpsorts Centre before entering. Full details, course maps and results can be found on the Manchester Triathlon Club website.
