Anti-social behaviour team

The council has a team of officers who deal with anti-social behaviour in privately owned housing in the city. We can warn people carrying out anti-social behaviour, use formal and informal agreements or in some cases even take legal action in more serious cases. We will work with you to resolve your complaint and will deal with your complaint in confidence.

We can be contacted on our anti social behaviour hotline on 0161 909 6544 or online by report anti-social behaviour.

Some of the feedback received

Ms R of Weaste

"(Due to) the removal of the problem from next door, I now feel like I have got my life back and can relax at home and whilst I am away from my property. I hated going home whilst they were there. I would like to say a very big thank you. I was very satisfied by the level of contact giving me progress reports and by the level of support received. Kate was supportive every step of the way, she is a credit to your organisation."

Mr W of Broughton

"Tracey and the team were excellent in executing liaison and stating the case against the behaviour of the occupants of our street. Many thanks."

Mrs D of Swinton

"A member of your team (ASB Team) contacted the landlord of the address from which we were having problems and requested that he send a letter to them (the tenants). As a direct result of this letter the nuisance neighbours left the property and did not return."
