Elections
All elections held within the city of Salford are organised by the city council's elections office. Details of past election results, how to apply for a postal or proxy vote, registering to vote, and frequently asked questions about voting are available. Electoral Roll
The Salford register of electors (the electoral roll) is a record of everyone eligible to vote who lives within the city. You do not have to vote on election day (it is your democratic choice), but you are required by law to register. The council is required to keep two versions of the current electoral register. Emmeline Pankhurst

Environmental Health
The work of Environmental Health officers includes both food safety, and health and safety. Food safety work involves the routine inspection of food businesses from small retail shop to pubs, restaurants and food manufacturers.
