Equipment in the bedroom
Bed sensor

The sensor knows when you have left your bed. It can be connected to your bedside light, so that this automatically comes on when you get up and goes off when you get back into bed. If you don't return to your bed during a pre-set time (we can adjust this) an alarm will go off, letting a carer or warden know.
Door contacts

When a door is opened, the door contacts will automatically send an alarm to the unit. In some circumstances the contacts can be fitted with a key switch so that a carer can activate and de-activate the door contacts as they are needed.
Enuresis (bed-wetting) sensor

The sensor provides early warning of a wet bed. The mat is placed between the mattress and the bed sheets and when it detects excess moisture, it sends an alarm through to the Carer Alert. This means that the user can be attended to quickly and made comfortable.
Epilepsy sensor

The Epilepsy Sensor will detect when you have a seizure during your sleep. Because it is situated underneath the mattress of your bed it can easily detects both movement and sound. In the event of the sensor being triggered by a seizure it will automatically send an alert through to the Carer Alert or Care on Call unit.
