Belvedere parents' groups

Have your say and come along to our parent/carers group.

Parents' groups at Belvedere run every other Friday at our children's centre. These groups are a great way of getting to know other parent's over a cup of tea or coffee, whilst the children are being cared for in the creche by our experienced centre workers. You as parents/carers get the chance to evaluate the services already running from the centre with us and to discuss what you would like in your centre and what we can do to improve the groups that you either already attend or would like to attend.

Some examples are:

Our parents/carers asked if we could have other professionals come into the centre who could give advise on parenting issues such as children's healthy menus. So we invited the community food worker into our parents/carers group to talk to the group about children's menus. The parents then decided they would like for the community food worker to come into the stay and play session to deliver some cooking ideas.

We also asked the parents how could we improve our sessions, they told us they would like more messy play during our stay and play sessions, this is now happening and both the children and parents are enjoying it.
