View your benefit claim and letters online

Your Claim Summary

If you are in receipt of Housing Benefit, Council Tax reduction and/or Universal Credit Discretionary Housing Payment, you can view the details of your claim, see payments and entitlement details online at Your Claim Summary

View the following at Your Claim Summary:

  • Any income, capital and savings and expenses used to calculate your claim
  • Household members and their income used to calculate your claim
  • Current and retrospective Housing Benefit payments
  • Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction entitlements
  • Export the information to a CSV file and print if required
  • Report a change of circumstances online if your circumstances have changed or the information is incorrect and needs amending.

To view Your Claim Summary, you need the following information:

  • Claimant’s last name
  • Claimant’s National Insurance Number
  • Claimant’s Date of Birth
  • Postcode
  • Current benefit claim reference (if you cannot locate your reference please complete the reference number request form

Your Claim Summary

View your letters online

With our new email notification system, you will receive an email informing you about any benefit decision notices made on your claim(s). This is a great way to keep track of all your benefits notices and you can also view them online. This is not only convenient but great for the environment as it reduces printing.

Register for online letters and then select ‘view my letters’ to login when you have decision notices to read.

Register for online letters

To register or view your online letters, you will need the following information:

  • Claimants name
  • Claimants email address
  • Claimants National Insurance Number
  • Claimants Date of Birth
  • Claim Reference Number
    (You can find this on any of your benefit decision notices. If you can’t locate it, please contact the team using the Live Web chat facility (blue box at bottom right of the page) or by completing the online contact form)

Please note that by signing up to view your letters online you will no longer receive your letters by post.
