Benefits advice is crucial for carers when considering matters such as the effect on the disabled person’s benefits, taking employment or claiming when over pension age.

Aims

To explore the range of benefits available to carers.

To enable participants to advise carers on how their benefits are affected in different circumstances.

Suitable for

Social & health care staff, support workers, benefits advisers, and anyone who works with disabled people and carers.

Ideally people need a basic knowledge of the benefits system or have completed the introduction to benefits course.
