Advice sessions
The Customer Services advice team is a dedicated team delivering face to face help and advice on a range of council and partner agency services including:
- Housing and council tax benefit
- Council tax (billing, liability and recovery)
- Overpayments
- Local Housing Allowance advice
- Free school meals
- Chaperone/matron licenses
- Signposting for Primary Care Trust services
- Smoking cessation
- Flu jab clinics and other health initiatives
For benefit and council tax enquiries you can drop in or make an appointment to see one of our advisors.
Drop in sessions are available at Unity House, Civic Centre, Swinton, from 8.30am - 4.30pm daily, except Wednesday when we open at 10.00am.
Appointments to see an advisor can be made for any of our Gateway Centres by either visiting your nearest centre or by calling 909 6504:
- Walkden Gateway, 2 Smith Street, Walkden
- Eccles Gateway, 28 Barton Road, Eccles
- Pendleton Gateway, 1 Broadwalk, Salford
