The Local Education Partnership

The Local Education Partnership, which will deliver Salford's Building Schools for the Future programme, is now operational. Two schools, Walkden High School and Irlam and Cadishead Community High School, are now completed. Oasis Academy MediaCityUK is under construction and three other schools are in an advanced stage of planning.

The partnership consists of Salford and Wigan councils and Transformational Learning Partnership consortium, which consists of HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions, HOCHTIEF Facility Management and Laing O'Rourke. An ICT Managed Service is being delivered to all High Schools in Salford by RM Education. The Local Education Partnership is tasked with designing, building and refurbishing more than 20 new and existing schools across the two authorities.

The LEP now has its own website with detailed information about its operations, supply chain arrangements and the schools currently under construction.

If you are a company wanting to find out more about the delivery programme, please contact Mark Benson at Laing O'Rourke on 0161 227 6000. Email: mbenson@laingorourke.com.
