Arranging your naming ceremony

When you book the naming ceremony with Salford you will be given an information pack divided into sections, with further choices within each section which will help you to create your own ceremony. These choices include introduction and welcome, readings, the naming of the child and reasons for the name, promises by parents and supporting adults, grandparents' promises, presentation of any gifts, and signing the record.

There will be an opportunity to discuss your choices with a trained celebrant before the special day who will be able to offer advice and discuss details. The ceremony may last between 15-45 minutes depending on the number of poems or readings you choose.
