Worsley and Boothstown

Welcome to the pages for the Worsley and Boothstown neighbourhood area. Here you will find information about the neighbourhood, as well as current news, useful contacts, and opportunities for getting involved.
The area is made up of two wards, Worsley, and Boothstown and Ellenbrook. For statistical information about these wards see our ward profiles page.
About the area
Worsley and Boothstown is situated on the western edge of the city of Salford, bordered by the East Lancashire Road (A580) to the north and Bridgewater Canal to the south. This is the most prosperous service delivery area in Salford, a very stable, attractive and highly desirable residential area.
A significant amount of agricultural land and open land is situated in the Boothstown area that forms part of the ‘Green Belt’.
The area is characterised by a growing middle aged population with high economic activity rates and the lowest unemployment rates in the city. It has high levels of educational attainment and low levels of poor health and lone parent families.
Overall crime levels in Worsley and Boothstown are generally low compared to the rest of Salford although there is local concern about the incidence of vehicle crime and burglary.

- support volunteers and community groups in securing funding for projects
The group is made up of members that are community volunteers, Salford City Council officers and partners and local councillors. Some of the key achievements of the group are:

We would welcome members of community groups from the area to become involved in future activities of the task group so please come along and help us plan positive activities for young people in Worsley, Boothstown and Ellenbrook.
