Buile Hill Park Restoration

Salford Council is embarking on an important project to explore options for the future of Buile Hill Park.
The park has always been an important part of Salford’s landscape and we now have a real opportunity to bid for government funding to improve and restore the park through the ‘Parks for People’ project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and the Big Lottery Fund (BLF). This is the last time that substantial funds will be available as the programme changes early next year and thereafter grants offered will be much less.
The aim of the project is to put parks back at the heart of thriving local communities and focuses on the belief that everyone, from all ages and backgrounds should have access to a well-designed and maintained public park, which is valued and meets the needs of local people. We want you to play a part in this by telling us what you think of the park, and how it could be improved to meet your own needs more fully.
Our vision
Buile Hill Park will be an outstanding, high value community park that provides opportunities for local people and visitors to enjoy memorable experiences in an environment that promotes the vibrant future of this community.
The park will be accessible and engaging, providing a welcoming environment for people to meet, learn and develop and improve their health and well being.
Our aims for the park include;
- better integration with the community,
- provision of improved and sustainable facilities that the community want,
- community involvement in its long term future,
- protection and enhancement of the heritage aspects of the park.
