Compulsory Purchase of Land in Salford
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salford have made the “Salford City Council (50 Barff Road, Weaste) Compulsory Purchase Order 2006” under Section 17 of the Housing Act 1985.
It is about to submit this Order to the Department for Communities and Local Government for confirmation, and if confirmed, the Order will authorise the Council of the City of Salford to purchase compulsorily, the land described below, for the purpose of improvement of the area by bringing the house in the Schedule up to a standard that would be suitable as accommodation. A copy of the Order and of the accompanying plan may be seen at all reasonable hours at the Law and Administration Division, Customer and Support Services Directorate, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA and Salford Information Centre, Broadwalk Library, The Broadwalk, Salford.
Any objection to the Order must be made in writing to the Department for Communities and Local Government, City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester, M1 4BE, before the Fourteenth day of August 2006 and should state the title of the Order, the grounds of objection, and the objectors address and interest in the land.
Description of Land
Vacant dwellinghouse 50 Barff Road, Weaste, including the half width portions of both Barff Road to the front and passageway to the rear, containing 124.0 square metres.
