Compulsory Purchase of land in Salford
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salford has made the Salford City Council (Nelson Street (Clearance Area)) Compulsory Purchase Order 2005 under Section 290 of the Housing Act 1985. It is about to submit this Order to the First Secretary of State for confirmation, and if confirmed, the Order will authorise the Council of the City of Salford to purchase compulsorily, the land described below, for the purposes of undertaking or otherwise securing the demolition of buildings in a clearance area and securing a cleared area of convenient shape and dimensions and the satisfactory development or use of the cleared area. A copy of the Order and of the accompanying map may be seen at all reasonable hours at the Law and Administration Division, Customer and Support Services Directorate, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA and Salford Information Centre, Broadwalk Library, The Broadwalk, Salford 6. Details of the order are also published in the Manchester Evening News and Salford Advertiser.
Any objection to the Order must be made in writing to the First Secretary of State, Government Office for the North West, City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester, M1 4BE, before the Twenty fourth day of October 2005 and should state the title of the Order and the grounds of objection and the objectors address and interests in the land.
