Before an application will be put to the Licensing Regulatory Panel the applicant must provide planning permission and public and employers liability insurance.
The application fee for a private hire operator is £209 for a one-man operator (licensed for one person and one vehicle only and cannot take bookings for another driver). The fee for a private hire operator with two to four vehicles is £272, five to ten vehicles £458, eleven to twenty vehicles £523 and twenty plus vehicles £679
Once granted the licence will remain in force for one year unless suspended or revoked.
