CAF and TAC

The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) and Team Around the Child (TAC) are designed to promote integrated working and family participation across all levels of need within Salford. They are both key elements of the Team Around the Child Model that aim to improve outcomes for children and young people in Salford.

The CAF and TAC should be used at the earliest possible opportunity to prevent families ever reaching crisis point. The correct use of the CAF will contribute to the successful delivery of many of the priorities in Salford's Interim Children and Young People's Plan 2009-2010.
