Making Space - Carer Support

Making Space has two Carer Support Coordinators, supporting carers of people with mental health needs in the community and in hospital (Meadowbrook). The Carer Support Coordinators provide support advice and advocacy.
Making Space - Carers’ Breaks

Making Space provides educational breaks for 24 carers of people with mental health needs in Salford each year. The aim of these breaks is to give carers time away from their caring responsibilities while also providing training and information on key skills and issues which will support them in their caring role.
The Federation of Jewish Services (FJS)

FJS have a Carers’ Advice Worker who carries out carer’s assessments for carers in the Jewish community. FJS also provides events, activities and support for carers, in addition to a quarterly carers' newsletter.
Salford Carers’ Centre

Salford Carers’ Centre provides advice, information and support for carers. It also has specific projects supporting Young Carers and raising awareness of carers needs in primary care. The carers’ centre also produces a regular newsletter and administers Carer’s Personal Budgets.

Salford Trafford and Stockport Crossroads

Crossroads provide practical and emotional support to carers by providing trained carers’ support workers who take over the care needs for the card-for person so that the carer can take a break.
