Case study: John W

John W

Broughton: Store attendant

I'm a trolley person for Tesco, it's very good. Year's ago I had a cleaning job in a bakery, it didn't work out and they got rid of me after three months. I was unemployed for five and a half years before I went to Skills and Work. If it hadn't been for them I would probably still have been on the dole. Skills and Work were very good. They gave me all sorts of help. They gave me help with confidence building, they tell you all sorts of stuff about the job you are going for, they help you with application forms and interviews.

I've been working for Tesco for about 15 months now, they're good to work for. It all fell into place in the end.
