Finding childcare in Salford

Salford Family Information Service is a free information and advice service, providing up-to-date information about childcare and other services for children in Salford.
For help and advice, our freephone helpline - 0161 909 6508 - is open from 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, and you can email us at FIS@salford.gov.uk.

- Find childcare to suit your needs with our database of registered childcare, which is updated every two weeks direct from Ofsted records
- Get help to pay for childcare with Working Families Tax Credit and the additional childcare element
- Access free early education for three and four year olds with up to 15 hours of provision per week during term-time
- Find out-of-school activities to help children pursue their interests and stay active outside school hours and during holidays
- Get specialist help when you need it, including services for children with special needs, family support and signposting to other organisations
- Start a career working with children, with information about becoming a childminder, becoming qualified or finding a job
