Salford's Children and Young People's Plan
All local authorities are required to publish a children and young people's plan.
The current Children and Young People's Plan for Salford ‘Every child matters IN Salford' was the inaugural children's plan for the partnership and was produced in 2006. Under normal circumstances we would have developed a new three year children and young people's plan for 2009-2012. The board was aware, however, that during 2009 new legislation would be introduced around children's trusts including advice on children and young people's plans.
The decision was taken to develop a 12 month interim plan to communicate the priorities and key actions for 12 months and provide a framework for measuring our progress.
The next three year plan will be developed during 2009-2010 based on the new legislation and guidance.
