Children's centre activities

Children playing outside

To help you and your child we offer lots of helpful activities and advice on top of our core offer. If you can't find one of the activities at your local centre you can attend any centre across the city.

As all the services we offer have been pulled together in one area, when you pop in for advice from a health visitor you can stay and play with your child, learn new skills such as using a computer or cooking on a budget, and get some employment, training or confidence building advice. You can also become a volunteer; this means while your child is developing you can too.

The centres are also great places to meet other parents and children and do a bit of socialising; and you and your child can do fun activities together and learn new things.

Activities include:

  • Adult learning
  • Arts and crafts
  • Baby clinics
  • Baby massage
  • Baby signing
  • Baby weigh sessions
