Cinema licence

An application must be made to the local authority for a cinema licence/video jukebox licence. Such a licence is required for the showing of wireless broadcasts.

Once an application for a video licence is received, the licensing office will make arrangements for the Building Control and the Greater Manchester County Fire Service to make inspections. A cinema licence, once granted, is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The fee for such a licence is £300.00 plus £76.00 per additional screen up to the statutory maximum of £600.00.
