City Learning Centres
There is one City Learning Centre (CLC) in operation within Salford. It provides state-of-the art computer based learning opportunities for all Salford pupils and any member of the wider Salford community. The facilities are also available for other organisations to book for a fee.
What can the CLC do for schools?
- Use computer technology to support any subject area for both primary and secondary schools within Salford
- Allow pupils to develop new skills using the latest digital technology in photography, music and video editing
- Use digital technology to allow pupils to interact with their subject matter in new and exciting ways.
- Provide training and guidance to teachers on what learning resources to use or buy
- Provide training and support to schools wanting to build their own website
What can the CLC do for the community?
- Provide FREE access to the Internet, in the relaxed and friendly environment of a cyber café (available to any Salford resident)
- Provide help and advice to those who just want to learn more about computers, and what they can do
What can the CLC do for businesses?
- Provide a state-of-the-art training facility for any business wanting to run a training course (training facilities are provided at extremely competitive rates)
