City Learning Centres

There is one City Learning Centre (CLC) in operation within Salford. It provides state-of-the art computer based learning opportunities for all Salford pupils and any member of the wider Salford community. The facilities are also available for other organisations to book for a fee.

What can the CLC do for schools?

Use computer technology to support any subject area for both primary and secondary schools within Salford
Allow pupils to develop new skills using the latest digital technology in photography, music and video editing
Use digital technology to allow pupils to interact with their subject matter in new and exciting ways.
Provide training and guidance to teachers on what learning resources to use or buy
Provide training and support to schools wanting to build their own website

What can the CLC do for the community?

Provide FREE access to the Internet, in the relaxed and friendly environment of a cyber café (available to any Salford resident)
Provide help and advice to those who just want to learn more about computers, and what they can do

Provide a state-of-the-art training facility for any business wanting to run a training course (training facilities are provided at extremely competitive rates)
