Connecting Salford consultation

Whose city vision is it?

The City Mayor, Ian Stewart, launched a new public consultation with you in 2012 to create a shared vision for our city in the future.

The starting point for developing this vision was to listen to your views and suggestions on the priorities for you and your family. This was a vital step in creating a way forward for Salford together. A consultation document ‘Connecting Salford' was sent out to every household and business in October to create an open discussion with you on the future of the city.

Whose vision is it?

The consultation finished in January. Since January, the City Mayor and his mayoral team have met local organisations and groups to learn about their specific needs and aspirations. In addition, the mayoral team and the council's senior management team have visited every neighbourhood.

The City Mayor would like to thank all of you who took part in the Connecting Salford consultation. He received many comments and used them to develop a shared vision of how we want Salford to be - the City Plan 2013 to 2016
