Connexions

Connexions

Connexions is the government's support service for all 13-19 year olds. It aims to provide advice, support and guidance across a range of issues and smooth the path into adulthood and working life.

Connexions brings together all the services and support that young people might need, including:

  • Practical help on courses, education and careers
  • Activities such as sport, arts or volunteering
  • Advice and support on drugs, sexual health and homelessness

Connexions also has local branches (see the branches in Greater Manchester) that are run under national guidelines. For young people who require individual support there are personal advisers who will work with them on a one to one basis from various locations such as schools, colleges, drop-in and community centres.
