Consultation on the Salford West Strategic Regeneration Framework
The draft framework and action plan has been developed through three stages of consultation.
Stage one in December 2006 consisted of a series of workshops for councillors, statutory partners and private sector representatives. They identified key issues and opportunities for Salford West as well as the role for the area in the wider city region/regional context.
Stage two in March 2007 focused on a vision for the area, co-ordinating public and private investment, priorities and actions. This stage included councillor, private and public sector workshops as well as community displays, a survey and a business dinner.
The third and final consultation stage on the draft Salford West Strategic Regeneration Framework and Action Plan took place over a six week period in July/August 2007. The main aims of the third round of consultation were to gain views of residents, the private sector and statutory partners on the content of the draft framework and prioritise actions that would bring the most benefit to the area.
