Core strategy sustainability appraisal scoping report

The sustainability scoping report identified:

• how the sustainability appraisal was carried out 
• baseline information that should be collected and monitored 
• indicators that will test the sustainability impacts of the core strategy 
• sustainability issues that should be addressed in the core strategy 
• sustainability objectives

Targeted consultation on the sustainability appraisal scoping report was carried out with the identified 'environmental bodies' (Natural England, Environment Agency and English Heritage) and stakeholders with key environmental, economic and social interests during July/August 2007.  

Printed copies of the sustainability appraisal scoping report and annexes are available to purchase at a cost of £10 (including postage and packing).
