The following services can be attended on a drop in basis or by self referral:

Community dental service

The community dental service provides specialised dental services to people living in Salford with complex needs who are unable to use general dental services. Patients may be referred to the service from a variety of sources including other dentists, doctors, other health and social care professionals and support workers.

The contact telephone number for Pendleton Gateway Community Dental Service is 0161 206 1513.

Student placements within the service provide extensive opportunities of dental experience for dental students and dental nurses who can carry out routine dental work such as examinations, fillings and extractions but do not provide complex treatments.

You will need to already have a GP and come into the centre and register to find out if you are eligible for treatment by students. If your dental needs are not suitable for student treatment you will need to find a local NHS dentist.

The community dental service does not provide emergency dental treatment.
