Community Safety Unit
The Salford Community Safety Unit is a team of council and police officers who have been brought together to coordinate the delivery of the Community Safety Strategy.
The team support the Crime and Disorder Partnership by:
- Developing strategy and policy
- Collecting and analysing information to ensure we understand crime and disorder patterns
- Monitoring trends and reporting on progress
- Finding best practice and sharing good ideas
- Providing a community safety link with the nine committee areas in Salford
The team is also involved in many local and community projects that will make Salford safer. Two of these projects are:
- Community Wardens
- Witness Outreach Service
