Children and Young People's Partnership

Children's Trust

Salford Children and Young People’s Partnership (SCYPP) is a whole new way of organising and delivering services to children, young and families in the City. It will be a major way in which Salford implements the Children Act 2004 and will be what the government calls a Children’s Trust.

The aim of SCYPP is:

To improve the well-being of all children and young people in Salford, by providing strategic leadership and direction for all children’s services. SCYPP will achieve this by co-ordinating health care, social care and educational support services to children from before birth to nineteen years of age in a timely, seamless and user friendly way.

These services are currently delivered by separate organisations such as Community & Social Services, The Primary Care Trust (NHS) and Children's Services.

What does the Partnership look like?

The transition from individual services to a more integrated approach is complex. The overview presentation helps to show what the Partnership looks like, how it works and what it will achieve.
