Births, marriages and deaths
Salford Register Office is located at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton.
The city council is responsible for the registration of births, marriages and deaths, and the issuing of birth, marriage and death certificates, for the Salford registration district. We also conduct civil marriage ceremonies, including civil partnerships and marriages in licensed premises.

Walkden Gateway
A registrar is available to register births and deaths at the Walkden Gateway centre every Wednesday. Please telephone 0161 909 6501 to make an appointment.
Child and baby naming ceremonies
The register office can provide baby and child naming ceremonies.
Renewal of vows ceremonies
We also offer renewal of vows ceremonies for any couple who wish to celebrate their original vows made to one another.
Civil partnership ceremonies
Couples of the same sex may enter into the Civil Partnership Register. This is a legal procedure which allows same sex couples similar rights given to married couples.
Civil Partnerships may take place at Salford Register Office or at one of our Approved Venues.

Copy certificates for births, marriages and deaths in Salford registration district can now be requested and paid for online.
