About Cllr Mann
Keith Mann was elected to the City Council in 1998. He has been Lead Member for Art and Leisure, Education and Service Improvement/Neighbourhoods. He has been a Trade Unionist all his adult life and was for over 30 years a Full Time Officer with UNISON. He is married with four grown up children and seven Grandchildren. He has a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and Labour Law and is a member of Manchester Industrial Relations Society. He represents Cadishead Ward on the City Council and lives in Irlam
About the Environment Directorate
As lead member for the Environment Directorate Cllr Mann is politically responsible for a support service which is designed to assist the authority, through its people, to achieve its corporate aims and objectives.
The way we do this is to ensure we recruit, retain and develop our workforce so that we are able to deliver high quality services to achieve our ultimate aim, to create the best possible quality of life for the people of Salford as part of the 7 Pledges initiative.
