Salford City Council and its partners have produced a Sustainable Transport in Salford document to show how we are all contributing towards a transport system that is more sustainable.

In addition to the Unitary Development Plan the council have produced other policies that are known as Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG). The additional policies are consistent with the Unitary Development Plan but cover some topics in more detail, and carry significant weight when judging the merits of specific proposal.
