Other memberships
The city council pays allowances to the Members representing it on the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority:
Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority: £1,764 per year
Allowances may be payable to Members representing the council on other bodies, such as those listed below, and if so these are paid either directly by the respective authority/body or by the city council on their behalf.
- Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority
- Greater Manchester Police Authority
- Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Authority
- Association of Greater Manchester Authorities
- Local Government Association
Where a member of the council is also a member of another authority/body, that member may not receive allowances from more than one authority in respect of the same duties.
