Budget Consultation 2009/10
Each year the council plans its spending for the following year.
We welcome your input, residents can let us have their views by the following means:
- online questionnaire (deadline for completion 17/10/08)
- email: budgetconsultation@salford.gov.uk
- writing to: Budget Consultation, FREEPOST-RLUE-CELG-RHST, Unity House, Salford Civic Centre M27 5FJ
- telephoning: 0161 793 3057
- picking up a questionnaire from libraries and civic public buildings (deadline for completion 17/10/08)
Consultation will also be carried out with:
- Big listening
- Young people
- Older people
- Community Committee membership
Residents are invited to attend a public meeting to discuss the council’s budget for 2009/2010 and to give their views on what the council’s spending priorities should be for the next year. The meeting will be held at the civic centre, Chorley Road, Swinton on Wednesday 21 January 2009 at 7pm.
Lead member for customer and support services, Councillor Bill Hinds, said: "This is a great idea to get residents involved in what they think would be the best way to spend the council's money. We constantly need to check we have our priorities right, and this helps the council see what matters residents feel need addressing and do this in a way they feel happy with."
