Trading electronically with Salford City Council
Catalogues
If you have a website which is set up for ordering and your products or services are held in an online catalogue, you may be capable of punchout ordering. Punchout refers to an order which is initiated on the supplier's website but is completed and transmitted from the buyer's purchase ordering system.
Receiving orders
Salford City Council prefers to send orders electronically. This is currently via email or XML. These are the fastest, more environmentally friendly ways of sending purchase orders. To find out how you can start receiving orders electronically, please follow the links below.
Sending invoices
At the moment, electronic invoicing is limited to XML. However we are planning to offer our suppliers the facility to post invoices through a form on this website by December 2006. If you are interested in taking part in a pilot scheme, please email e-trading@salford.gov.uk
Payment
BACS stands for Bankers Automated Clearing System. Founded over forty years ago, BACS provides a quick and easy way to make payments from one bank account to another.
