The health and wellbeing of our employees is extremely important to us and therefore we provide a range of services to support them:
- Physiotherapy service - for employees with musculoskeletal conditions.
- Counselling service - the Employee Counselling service provides confidential access to an independent counsellor via a free phone number
- Occupational health service - available to all staff by referral
- Medical screening - paid time off will be granted for the purposes of cancer screening.
- Medical appointments - paid time off, up to 2 hours.
- Eye care scheme - employees who need glasses for VDU use will receive a financial contribution towards the cost of the glasses.
- Leisure membership - reduced membership to our Fit City Leisure Centres.
- The Disability Leave Scheme (DLS) - up to six weeks paid additional leave .
Sickness - your entitlement to sickness allowance is:
- During 1st year of service: 1 month’s full pay and (after completing 4 months’ service) 2 months’ half pay.
- During 2nd year of service: 2 months’ full pay and 2 months half pay.
- During 3rd year of service: 4 months full pay and 4 months half pay.
- During 4th and 5th years of 5 months full pay and 5 months half pay
- After 5 years’ service: 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay.
