Liverpool Street, Salford (NEW)
A temporary emergency road closure order will be in effect from Saturday 6 September 2008 for a maximum period of 21 days on the following section of highway:
- Liverpool Street, Langworth, from its junction with Highfield Drive to its junction with Langworthy Road.
The order is required to carry out emergency demolition works to St Ambrose Church.
Diversions will be via Albion Way (A5063) - Eccles New Road (A57) - & South Langworthy Road (A5186).
An emergency Prohibition of Driving will be in effect from Saturday 26 August 2008 for a maximum period of 21 days on the following section of highway:
- Lewis Street, Eccles, for its entire length.
The order is required to facilitate repairs to a collapsed sewer.
Spaw Street & Browncross Street, Salford (NEW)
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Sunday 21 September 2008 for a maximum period of five days on the following sections of highway:
- Spaw Street, Salford, for its entire length.
- Browncross Street, Salford, for its entire length.
The order is required to enable a crane to be sited on the highway to lift equipment onto the adjacent building.
Both closures will not run simultaneously.
No Diversion will be possible.
Cholmondeley Road, Salford (NEW)
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Monday 22 September 2008 for a maximum period of five days on the following section of highway:
- Cholmondeley Road, Salford, between its junctions with Moss Meadow Road and Gloucester Road.
The order is required to facilitate repairs to a collapsed sewer.
Diversions will be signed via Claremont Road - Eccles Old Road and Lancaster road.
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 1 September 2008 for a maximum period of five days on the following section of highway:
- Nansen Street, Salford, from outside numbers 46 to 50.
The order is required to enable demolition works to take place.
A temporary emergency road closure order will be in effect from Thursday 21 August 2008 for a maximum period of 21 days on the following section of highway:
- Slater Street, Winton, from its junction with Worsley Road.
The order is required to enable repairs to a collapsed sewer system on Worsley Road, Winton.
The closure will only be in operation between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm.
Diversions will be via Cambell Road and Blandford Road.
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Monday 22 September 2008 for a maximum period of three months on the following section of highway:
- Station Road (B5231), Swinton, from its junction with Bolton Road (A666) to its junction with Dumbell Street.
The order is required to facilitate reconstruction works on the highway.
Diversions will be signed via Bolton Road (A666) & Swinton Hall Road.
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Monday 22 September 2008 for a maximum period of three months on the following section of highway:
- Derg Street, Salford, for its entire length.
The order is required to enable the demolition of buildings adjacent to the highway.
Diversions will be signed locally.
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Monday 22 September 2008 for a maximum period of nine months on the following section of highway:
- Fitzwilliam Street, Salford, for its entire length.
The order is required to enable the demolition of buildings adjacent to the highway.
Diversions will be signed locally, access will be maintained for residents.
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 22 September 2008 for a period of 12 months on the following sections of highway:
- Gloucester Place, Salford.
- Upper Gloucester Street, Salford.
- Gore Street, Salford.
- Eades Street, Salford.
- Strawberry Road, Salford.
- Gerrard Street, Salford.
- Nichols Street, Salford.
- Footpaths to the rear of 4 - 40 Strawberry Road, Salford.
The order is required to enable house refurbishments to be carried out in a safe manner.
Access will be maintained for residents.
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Saturday 13 September 2008 for a period of three months on the following section of highway:
- Lumns Lane, Swinton, at its junction with Agecroft Road (A6044).
The order is required to enable construction works within the highway.
Work will be carried out at weekend periods only, access to the industrial units and the recycling centre will be maintained during this period.
Southern Street, Alexander Street & Kara Street, Langworthy
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 15 September for a maximum period of three months on the following sections of highway.
- Southern Street from its junction with Alexander Street to its junction with Sydney Street.
- Alexander Street from its junction with Southern Street to its junction with Glendinning Street.
- Kara Street from its junction with Liverpool Street to its junction with Farm Street.
The order is required to facilitate demolition works adjacent to the highway.
Diversions will be signed locally.
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from 6 September 2008 for a maximum period of three months on the following section of highway.
- Stott Lane, Salford, from Eccles Old Road to Meadowgate Road.
The order is required to facilitate contractors to resurface the junction of Stott Lane and Eccles Old Road.
A temporary prohibition of right hand turn will be in effect on Saturday 13 September 2008 for one day on the following section of highway.
- Right hand turn manoeuvre from Eccles Old Road into the access road to Buile Hill Park will be prohibited.
- Right hand turn manoeuvre from the access road to Buile Hill Park into Eccles Old Road will be prohibited.
The order is required to control vehicular access to the Proms in the Park concert.
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from 18 August 2008 for a maximum period of five months on the following section of highway.
- Barton Road (B5211) from its junction with Peel Green Road & Barton Lane (B5230),Eccles, to its junction with Old Barton Road & Redclyffe Road,Trafford.
The closure order is required to facilitate replacement of electricity cabling within the highway and under the Manchester Ship Canal.
The diversion route is as follows:
Barton Road (B5211), Liverpool Road (A57), Church Street (A57), Irwell Place, Bentcliffe Way, Gilda Brook Road (A576), & Centenary Way (A576).
Park Road / Pine Grove / Poplar Road, Eccles
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 1 September 2008 for a maximum period of eight months on the following sections of highway.
- Park Road, Eccles for its entire length.
- Pine Grove, Eccles for its entire length
- Poplar Road, Eccles for its entire length
The closure order is required to facilitate construction of traffic calming measures.
Diversions will be signed locally.
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Wednesday 16 July 2008 on the following section of highway:
- Worsley Road, Winton, between its junctions with Parrin Lane and New Lane.
The closure order is required due to a major collapse in the carriageway.
The diversion route is as follows:
Parrin Lane - Monton Green - Monton Road - Half Edge Lane (B5229) - Gilda Brook Road (A576) - Bentcliffe Way - Corporation Road - Church Street - Liverpool Road (A57).
The Quays (Loop Road), Salford
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Monday 4 August 2008 for a period of six months on the following section of highway:
- The Quays Loop Road, Salford, between its junctions with Waterfront Quay and Furness Quay.
The order is required to keep this section of highway clear whilst the cargo cranes are removed for refurbishment and re-erected upon completion of the refurbishment. This section will be restricted as and when necessary during the closure period.
An alternative route will be signed when required.
Radcliffe Park Road, Claremont
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 21 July 2008 for a period of 4 months on the following section of highway:
- Radcliffe Park Road, Claremont, for its entire length.
The order is required to enable footway reconstruction works.
Access will be maintained for residents.
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 21 July 2008 for a period of two months on the following section of highway:
- Holyoake Road, Walkden, for its entire length.
The order is required to enable footway reconstruction works.
Access will be maintained for residents.
A temporary 40 mph speed limit will be introduced from Saturday 19 July 2008 for a period of two months on the following section of highway:
- A580 East Lancashire Road (west bound), from its junction with Newearth Road to its junction with Chaddock Lane (Wigan boundary).
The order is required to reduce the speed of vehicles prior to the Wigan boundary whilst essential maintenance is carried out to the safety barriers.
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Wednesday 12 May 2008 for a period of four months on the following section of highway:
- South Radford Street, Salford, between Monsal Avenue and Shirley Avenue.
The order is required to enable the construction of new traffic calming proposals.
Diversions will be signed locally.
A666 Bolton Road / Station Road, Swinton
Delays can be expected from Monday 4 February 2008 for a maximum period of 30 weeks at the following section of highway:
- A666 Bolton Road, Swinton, at its junction with Station Road.
Delays can be expected due to junction improvement works.
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Monday 4 February 2008 for a period of 18 months on the following section of highway:
- King Street, Ordsall (Blackfriars Area), for its entire length.
The order is required to facilitate the continued construction of the new apartments.
Diversions will not be possible
Tully Street / King Street, Salford
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 31 December 2007 for a period of 24 months on the following sections of highway:
- Tully Street, Salford from its junction with King Street to its junction with Turner Street.
- King Street, Salford from its junction with Carnarvon Street to its junction with Tully Street.
The order is required to enable the demolition of existing housing and for the erection of a new development.
Diversions will not be possible.
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 24 September 2007 for a period of two years on the following section of highway:
- Hulton Street, Salford, from a point 100 metres east of the eastern side of West Craven Street in a westerly direction to its cul de sac end adjacent to Trafford Road.
The order is required to facilitate the construction of a new development.
No diversion will be possible.
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 24 September 2007 for a period of two years on the following section of highway:
- West Craven Street, Salford, from its junction with Hulton Street to its junction with Collingburn Avenue.
The order is required to facilitate the construction of a new development.
No diversion will be possible.
Dettingen Street, Minden Street, Egmont Street, Salford
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Tuesday 4 September 2007 for a period of 60 months on the following sections of highway:
- Dettingen Street, Minden Street, Egmont Street, Salford, from the junction with Duchy Road for there entire lengths.
The order is required to enable the demolition of existing housing and for the erection of a new development.
No diversions will be possible during the closure period.
Half Street And Reservoir Street, Salford
A temporary road closure order will be in effect from Monday 5 February 2007 for a period of 24 months on the following section of highway:
- Half Street, Salford, for its entire length.
- Reservoir Street, Salford, for its entire length.
The order is required to facilitate the demolition of an existing building and the construction of a new building. Diversions will be signed locally.
Hulton Street / St Clements Drive, Salford
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order and a temporary Revocation of Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Monday 11 December 2006 for a period of two years on the following section of highway:
- Temporary Prohibition of Driving Order on Hulton Street, Salford, from its junction with West Craven Street, for a distance of 120 metres in an easterly direction.
- The City of Salford (St. Clements Drive, Salford) (Prohibition of Driving Except for Pedal Cyclists) Order 1998 will be temporarily revoked.
The order is required to enable the construction of a temporary closure of Hulton Street to prevent rat running of through vehicles and to enable contractors to develop an adjacent site for future housing. Also to open up access to the car park for St Clements Church via St Clements Drive to Ordsall Lane.
Eccles Library Service Road, Eccles
A temporary Prohibition of Driving order will be in effect from Monday 18 December 2006 for a period of 24 months on the following section of highway:
- Eccles Library Service Road, Eccles, from its junction with Barton Lane for its entire length of 104 metres in a northerly direction.
The order is required to enable the construction of one of the National Health Service, Primary Care Trust Lift Centres at Eccles, Salford.
