Country parks and local nature reserves

Blackleach Country Park and Clifton Country Park are green oases within Salford. They are havens for wildlife and provide open space for everyone to enjoy. The city's two country parks are ideal places to get away from it all and discover the countryside on your doorstep. There are woodlands, grasslands, ponds and lakes to explore and hidden remnants of Salford’s industrial past to discover.
In addition to the Country Parks Salford Ranger Team also manage Kersal Dale, Worsley Woods and Kersal Moor.
An exciting programme of events and activities is provided throughout the year , these are featured in ON in Salford. The Team also provides environmental education programmes for schools and community groups and opportunities for volunteers to become involved in their local area.
