Crimestoppers in Salford: How it can help you

Salford Community Safety Partnership is committed to reducing the risk and fear of crime in Salford. We are confident that Crimestoppers has an active role to play in these reductions and we are therefore promoting its benefits across the city. Some of our activities include:

• The design and distribution of the Crimestoppers Advertiser
• Working with a number of secondary schools to raise pupil awareness of Crimestoppers by creating a Crimestopper rap song. The group of year eight Hope High School students from Salford were given the challenge of producing the song to advertise Crimestoppers

You don't have to look far to see crime, whether it's on the news or in the newspaper. It could be something as simple as a smashed up phone box, or it could be a lot worse. Crimestoppers are not part of the police, but an independent charity. We do work with them, just as we work with business, media, schools, youth groups and the local community for a common goal: a safer, fairer society.

Call 0800 555 111 if you have information about crime or criminal activities and wish to report it anonymously. Alternatively, please fill in the CrimeStoppers online form. We don't want to know your name or where you live. Your call cannot be traced or recorded. You won't have to give a statement or go to court. The only person who knows that you've called is you!
