Background reports for the publication core strategy
Background reports have been produced for the spatial vision and strategic objectives and each of the policies within the following chapters of the publication core strategy:

Background reports have not been produced for the spatial framework area policies, as these generally pull together the relevant proposals contained within the thematic policies.
Each background report provides a detailed justification for the policy, explaining why the approach being proposed in the publication core strategy is considered to be the most appropriate, taking into account the technical evidence, national and regional planning policy and the comments received during the earlier stages of consultation on the core strategy.
