Community Safety Unit
This is a team of council and police officers who have been brought together to coordinate the delivery of the Community Safety Strategy.
The team support the Crime and Disorder Partnership by:
- Developing strategy and policy
- Collecting and analysing information to ensure we understand crime and disorder patterns
- Monitoring trends and reporting on progress
- Finding best practice and sharing good ideas
- Providing a community safety link with the nine committee areas in Salford
The team is also involved in many local and community projects that will make Salford safer. One such project is:
