Parents and carers support group

The young people substance misuse service (SMART) run a group-based support programme for the families of people with drug problems. Parents and other family members can share their experiences and are able to receive professional support during a difficult period in their lives. They can be contacted at:

Salford drug and alcohol service tenancy support scheme

The scheme works with clients known to drug and alcohol services in Salford, and are based on Church Street, Eccles.

The scheme is staffed by a coordinator and four tenancy support workers who are available Monday to Friday during regular office hours. They can offer help and advice with housing related issues including pre-tenancy support, help with 'Choice Based Lettings' and support into permanent accommodation.

Together Women Project (TWP)

TWP is a demonstration project for the Ministry of Justice National Offender Management Service. It is a support service for women which aims to reducing re-offending, prevent family breakdown and promote positive lifestyles.

The project is run by Salford Foundation from the second floor at their offices in Charles House, Eccles.

The centre is open between 10.00am to 3.00pm and provides a safe and friendly environment to access support and a range of activities such as:

  • Counselling
  • Drug and Alcohol support
  • Health and Holistic therapies

There are also crèche facilities available.

Welfare Rights and Debt Advice Service

There is a dedicated Welfare Rights Officer who works within Salford Drug and Alcohol Service. The officer can be contacted via the Drug and Alcohol Service.
