Diplomas in Salford

The Diploma is a brand new qualification which combines theoretical study with practical and applied learning experiences. It is an essential part of the 14-19 reform programme and will be available in 14 different subject lines by 2013.

Each Diploma line is introduced through a phased process of implementation known as a Diploma Gateway. This assesses an area's readiness to deliver and it is expected that schools, colleges and other institutions wishing to deliver the same line of Diploma form partnerships or consortiums to oversee the delivery.
