Eccles Shopping Centre
Eccles Shopping Centre is getting in the mood for Halloween already! Eccles Shopping Centre is encouraging the community to get green fingered ahead of Halloween. At the Farmers Market on Saturday 17 March, shoppers will be given everything they need to grow their own pumpkins.
The centre is giving away seeds, compost and growing pots along with instructions that detail everything you need to know about growing pumpkins. All growers will then be invited to come along to a judging day on October 20 and the best pumpkin will win an impressive prize. Pumpkins will then be left on display for the public to see and then on Saturday 27 October, a pumpkin carving workshop will be take place just in time for Halloween.

Free breaks available
At The Salfordian Hotel in Southport. Do you know someone who deserves a break? Eccles Community Committee have made available a number of breaks at The Salfordian Hotel for residents living within the M30 postcode. Nominate a friend or neighbour who would like some time away for a rest.
